Adams State College Community Partnerships Gallery
Every month, a new exhbit of San Luis Valley artists are featured in this community gallery on the campus of Adams State College (corner of Main Street and Edgemont Blvd in Alamosa, Colorado). From Rio Grande style weaving, to woodworking, to painters, a large variety of artists from the six county region are showcased. During artist receptions, demonstrations can often be observed. Every November as part of "America Recycles", community members are asked to submit artwork made from discarded material. College students conduct a fashion show of wearables made from a variety of discarded material. The intent of this event is to promote conservation, reusing and recycling through art.
