This pioneer settlement dates to the late 1800s and many of the original homes remain. Built in the Victorian style with sandstone block, these homes are along the historic tour.  The trail directs visitors through the small community and into the riparian area along the San Juan River; it includes the Great House ruin and the historic cemetery.  The trail guide discusses the natural history of the area and is available at the Bluff Fort Visitor Center and local businesses.  Allow two hours for the tour.

Time Period Represented: Pre-history to today including Ancestral Puebloan ruins, Victorian era homes, and current day community.

Hours Open: Self-guided tour of the historic town.

Visitor Fees: None

Seasons Open: Year-round.

Pets are not precluded on the trail but because it is within the community, it is recommended that pets be leashed.
