Boggy Draw Mountain Bike Area
This trail system includes 40 miles of intermediate mountain biking trails. A nice place to recreate during the heat of the summer among the Ponderosa Pine Forest. Nice views of the San Juan mountain ranges.
From the Town of Dolores (10 miles north of Cortez) take 11th Street (turns to County Road 30)north toward Groundhog Reservoir. Stay on County Road 30 for 3 miles and go right (east) on County Road W. Stay on this road for 1 mile to the trailhead. Informational signs at the trailhead describe the routes.
Route Length: Up to 40 miles with several options for shorter loops.
Moderately Streneous - Best for Adults and Older Children
Dogs are OK but should be kept under control to avoid wildlife disturbance and issues with other people enjoying the trails.

It is truly a wonderful asset for the Dolores community and all are welcome to come enjoy a great riding experience. Please remember to be respectful of other users.
Cmar wrote on January 27, 2011: Mountain bikes are destroying Boggy Draw. They are creating rutted trails that keep getting wider each year. Mountain bikers are rude to other users. There is increase errosion and disturbance of wildlife. The last thing needed are more bikers showing up!
