A beautiful historical ranch located in McElmo Canyon west of Cortez, CO.  The ranch is around 2,000 acres with McElmo Creek running through and next to Sleep Ute Mountain.  It's a great to tour around the area to Mountain Valley, Mesa Verde, Telluride, Durango and Pagosa Springs.  

Canyon of the Ancients Guest Ranch & Vacation Rental, a working ranch, offers its guests great experience of farm / ranch lifestyle and tastefully decorated guest houses to relax their mind, body and soul. From Cortez, drive west on Hwy 160.  Turn to Road G for 17 miles.  The ranch is on the left side of road.

The ranch is owned by Garry & Ming Adams who live on site. 

One of the houses utilize adobe block and apex form blocks to enhance the insulation and reduce energy waste.  Recycle kitchen scrap for animal feeds and composting.  Owner engages sustainable ranching technique to raise organic grass-fed beef and vegetables.
