About the Desert Rose Inn & Cabins - Bluff, Utah
Amer & Cindy Tumeh’s first dip into the hospitality industry began when they purchased the Historic Jens Nielson home and renovated it into a 5 bedroom Guest House and found that they loved the people and the process. When they decided to expan they did not want to destroy the historic integrity of the Jens Nielson home so they decided to build outside the historic district. They started with 5 Executive Cabins on the west side of Bluff in 1997. Two years later, now with a son "Tarrik" in 1999, they proposed a project of building a 30 room lodge and conference facility. They headed to the bank and explained that they would like to design and build the Desert Rose Inn & Cabins. Cindy had told Amer that if the bank approved their loan she would gladly sign on, positive that there was no way the bank would give a couple of kids with limited experience that size of loan. Well, it has been over 12 years now that they have been operating the Desert Rose Inn & Cabins and have been blessed with an amazing staff and a flourishing business. They truly hope that their guests love Southeastern Utah and all of the beauty that surrounds them as much as they do.
