ENCHANTED CIRCLE POTTERY is located in Taos Canyon, on scenic U.S. Highway 64, between Angel Fire and Taos. The studio and gallery are owned and operated by artists Kevin and JoAnne DeKeuster. The couple creates a variety of functional and sculptural ceramic pieces. The functional ware is lead free, dishwasher and microwave safe. The most unique aspect of their artwork is that it is fired solely with wood. Wood firing, an ancient Japanese process, produces one of a kind iridescent colors. As the wood burns in the kiln, the ash lands on the ceramic work. The kiln reaches such intensely high temperatures (2400 degrees), that the ash is melted into a glaze. The flames surging across the pots also add interesting marks and color. We are sure you will enjoy the trip to their studio and gallery.  You can tour the entire pottery facility at no cost. You will find the couple at work, throwing pottery on the wheel, creating pieces by hand, or loading and firing their unique kiln.
