Fifth Generation Trading Company
Shopping at Fifth Generation

From discriminating collectors to first time visitors of the southwest Fifth Generation Trading Company also known as Southwest Showroom, offers authentic rugs, sculptures, kachinas, jewelry, folk art, artifacts and pottery.  As the name suggests, the Tanner family has been trading with Native American Indians over several generations. In 1875, Seth Tanner led a wagon-train through the Four Corners region and founded trading posts on the Navajo reservation. Today the Tanners, Seth's great-great grandchildren, operate Fifth Generation Trading Company. This high quality post located in Farmington, New Mexico continues trading with the finest Navajo, Pueblo, Hopi and Zuni artists.

Fifth Generation’s showroom presents the largest collection of Navajo sandpainting art in the southwest.  The artwork of many famous Native American artisans is featured throughout the shop. The wall to wall show cases hold the finest in contemporary and vintage Hopi and Navajo jewelry.  Whether shopping or learning about the beautiful art of southwest Native Americans, Fifth Generation Trading Company is one Trading Post visitors to the Four Corners should not miss.
