The Gallup Cultural Center is housed in the Historic Santa Fe Depot. The building, designed by Fred Harvey's personal architect, Mary Colter, has been rehabilitated and decorated to be reminiscent of the famous El Navajo Hotel, which used to stand just to the west of the depot. The building is on the historic buildings register.

Housed in the Old Train Station in downtown Gallup, NM, the Gallup Cultural Center is a project of the Southwest Indian Foundation, and houses the Gallup Visitors Center.

The facility includes an art gallery featuring the art from the Reunion of the Masters group, a historical/cultural museum exhibit of the local area and its many cultures. There is also a cafe, gift shop and visitor center. There is ample parking and it is the perfect starting point for touring historic downtown Gallup on foot.

The Gallup Cultural Center features art shows, musical performances, children's events and much more throughout the year.

The Gallup Cultural Center still functions as a train station as well, AMTRAK stops here twice a day -- once heading east, and once heading west.
