Located in the middle of Farmington on Main Street, this beautiful facility is host to the Farmington Museum, Farmington Convention & Visitors Bureau, a Visitors Center with information on attractions and events in Farmington and the Four Corners region, Currents Gift Shop and a team of friendly and knowledgeable hospitality staff. The building sits on the banks of the Animas River and features a beautiful terrace where concerts are held Saturday evenings throughout the summer. A variety of events take place at Gateway Park including national and Native American juried art competitions, food faires, rug auctions and exhibit related lectures and presentations. Visitors enjoy the variety of exhibits displayed in the Farmington Museum. The history of the area and the diverse cultures of the region are exhibited in three permanent exhibits "From Dinosaurs to Drill Bits", "Farmington: 100 Years of Change" and "Three Waters Trading Post". Traveling exhibits and a national and regional juried arts shows also frequent the museum. The museum's gift shop, "Currents" features exhibit-related merchandise, books on local and regional interests, toys and educational materials.
