Jemez Falls is on the East Fork of the Jemez River. It is accessible by a short hike from the parking lot, or by trail from Battleship Rock to the west, or East Fork trailhead to the east.

From the Jemez Ranger Station go 7.5 miles north to the junction of State Roads 4 and 126 at La Cueva. Follow State Road 4 approximately six miles east to the campground turnoff on your right. From the turn-off continue approximately 1 1/4 miles to Jemez Falls Group Area which is south of the family campground.

Recreational Opportunities

Hiking, fishing, photography, camping. USFS campground and group picnic areas available.

Seasons Accessible

Open spring through fall, or by x-country skiing when the gate is closed in the winter.

Fees: Fees only at campground

 ADA Accessibility Notes

Parking lot and campground accessible, but trail to falls can be narrow and steep in places.

 Pet Friendly Notes

Pets allowed under control or on leash.
