Lake City Visitor Center
The Lake City Visitor Center is located at 800 Gunnison Avenue in Lake City, Colorado, and serves as a rest stop and information center for two scenic byways: the Alpine Loop and the Silver Thread. Here, visitors can find information about the natural and cultural history of the area, recreation opportunities on the surrounding public lands, and local information about Lake City events and businesses. The visitor center is staffed by representatives of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, the US Forest Service, and the Bureau of Land Management.
