Landscape Photography and Poetry Workshop

This is a special photography and poetry workshop will be conducted by Walter W. Nelson and Christine Preston, photographers, and Karla Morton the 2010 Poet Laureate of Texas.

The 5-day workshop will take place in a canyon in the Big Bend area of Texas, bordering the Big Bend State Park. There is no other canyon like this in the entire Big Bend Area. Owned by Midwestern State University, in Wichita Falls, Texas, it was a gift to the university by Walter W. Dalquest and Rose Dalquest as a scientific research site.

The Ribbons Of Time workshop combines photography with poetry, for those who want to develop their artistic vision. It is open to participants seeking an opportunity to explore nature through photography and poetry. Participants will photograph during early morning hours and late afternoons alternating with poetry during the rest of the day.

Participants will experience the Jewel In The Desert carrying with them special memories of a canyon equal to no other.

This workshop is open to all who are interested in photography and poetry. Ability to navigate rough terrain required.

Total Cost (room, board, tuition) $2700.
