Lizard Head Wilderness is located in the San Juan and Uncompahgre National Forests. Three rugged fourteeners skirted by flowing forests of white barked aspens characterize this scenic wilderness. Named for a prominent volcanic spire near Lizard Head Pass.

Rock Climbing, Hunting, Fishing, Mountaineering, Hiking, Mushroom Hunting, Photography, and Wildlife Viewing.
