Discover 1.4 million years of history, from the explosion of the Valles Caldera that created our unique geology and landscape to the explosion of the world's first atomic bomb. Exhibits include geology and natural history, the Ancestral Pueblo people, the homestead era, the Los Alamos Ranch School for boys, the Manhattan Project, and the Cold War. A changing exhibit room showcases local and regional history. The museum is housed in the former guest cottage of the Los Alamos Ranch School, which was Gen. Leslie Groves favorite place to stay when he was in Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project.

Seasons Open: Open 361 days a year. Closed New Years, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas

Hours Open: Mon.-Sat. 9:30-4:30, Sun. 1-4 (summer), Mon.-Sat 10-4, Sun. 1-4 (winter)
