Historic Downtown Mancos offers artist galleries, locally roasted coffees, quaint gift shops, locally made leather goods, a custom hatter, a nationally renowned bakery & cafe (The Absolute Bakery), and fine and casual dining opportunities, all within the radius of a block.

The Mancos downtown area has 3 buildings listed on both the National and State Historic Registers.  The Bauer Bank Building was built in the 1890's. The Mancos High School, built in 1909, is the oldest continuously operating high school in Colorado. The Mancos Opera House is being restored by the diligent efforts of the the local VFW. A walking tour pamphlet of all the Mancos historic buildings may be picked up at the Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce. The Mancos Valley invites you to explore local history and experience the charm of small town living.

Head south at the intersection of COlorado Highway 184 and 160.
