The Moenkopi Legacy Inn and Suites is the first hotel to be built on Hopi Tribal Lands in 50 years.It was developed and is owned by the Upper Village of Moenkopi. MLI's goal is to educate visitors on Hopi art, culture, and history. The hotel connects visitors with authorized tour guides, nightly educational programs, and Hopi artists, whose work is displayed in the hotel.

The Moenkopi Legacy Inn and Suites was designed to preserve the cultural integrity of the Hopi people. The hotel's decor reflects the vision of the village elders and everything from the carpets, bedding, artwork, and architecture emphasizes Hopi culture. The Kiva Garden and the third floor San Francisco Peaks Serentiy Lounge provde places to relax and connect with Hopi traditions. The Legacy Inn features 100 guest rooms, including 16 uniquely designed suites, a swimming pool and whirlpool, conference center and an outdoor performance plaza.

The Tuuvi Travel Center across the street from the hotel and near Tuba City, has all of the conveniences that travelers on-the-go require plus authentic Native American arts. The Tuuvi Cafe offers a full service menu of traditional American and Hopi food and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Tours of the Hopi Mesas and Dawa Park, a culturally significant site with thousands of petroglyphs.  Hopi is also home to scenic byway 264.

The Moeknkopi Legacy Inn & Suites is the western gateway to the Hopi Mesas, which are among the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the US. MLI is the most substantial endeavor ever undertaken as a commercial enterprise by any Hopi village. By creating the hotel, the upper village has created jobs and acquainted travelers with opportunities in the Hopi Villages.
