The Oppenheimer House is a log and stone cabin lived in by Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer and his family during World War II. It is part a stop on the Los Alamos Historic Walking Tour. The home is owned in a life trust by the Los Alamos Historical Society, and planning has begun for when the home is open to the public. In the meantime, it is a private residence, and the generous family who donated the home to the Historical Society may live there as long as they desire. Please enjoy the views from the outside of the fence but allow the family their privacy.
