Posi-Ouinge Pueblo
Posi-Ouinge, the “greenness” Pueblo, is a special ancestral place for the Tewa People of northern New Mexico. Posi-Ouinge (Po-see-o-wing-gay) was a vibrant center during the 15th century, part of the Tewa people’s migration story that brought them to rich farmlands along the northern Rio Grande and Rio Chama. Today, the pueblo lies above the springs resort at Ojo Caliente. A short, self-guided hike takes you around the site through roomblocks and to vistas with beautiful views of the Ojo Caliente valley.
