Ramah Farmers' Market
Every Saturday morning at 10am, June - October, in the shade of an old grove of cottonwoods, an eclectic group of El Morro Valley farmers, gardeners, ranchers, homesteaders and skilled artisans setup their tables full of of homegrown, homemade goods and handcrafted artwork. The Ramah Farmers' Market is one of the favorite gathering & commerce places for the hardy high desert dwellers, whose homesteads are scattered over a 900 square mile area from Zuni to the Ice Caves, from Pinehill to the foot of the Zuni Mountains north of El Morro. Amidst the friendly banter between friends, neighbors and passersby are the offerings of local garden fresh produce, organically raised range-fed beef and lamb, baked goods and handmade crafts. The market opens in mid June thru the 1st Saturday in October.
The end of the Ramah Farmers' Market season is celebrated in the first Saturday of October with the Harvest Festival, a day of festivities, displays, contests, music, dancing, games and good old fashioned fun in the country. During your summer adventures along the Ancient Way, make it a point to visit the Ramah Farmer's Market.
