Perry and Lynne Lewis use the ranch that has been in the family for more than 70 years as a base for their outfitting business. They operate with permits on the San Juan National Forest and the Ute Mountain Tribal Park. They love this way of life and enjoy sharing it with folks from other areas. People from all over the world they have taken out on horseback adventures have become lifelong friends. 

Horseback rides, wilderness camp trips, horse-drawn wagon and sleigh rides, and wedding and parade carriage rides are all part of Rimrock Outfitters' services.

Novices and experienced riders can enjoy one-hour up to all-day horseback rides ranging from 7800' to 11,500' elevation, providing a variety of beautiful mountain scenery and wildlife. Guests can ride horses to the cookout site for breakfast or a steak dinner. Horseback camp trips are available in the La Plata Mountains or on the Ute Tribal Park, where a Native American guide takes you up to explore ancient cliff dwellings. On the dinner rides and camp trips, Lynne and Perry provide some cowboy music, with guitar and bass accompaniment and a little yodeling thrown in.  

Horses are turned out every night on irrigated meadows and native mountain pastures with plenty of room to roam at will. Wranglers make a point of clearing any foreign objects from the trails and campsites.
