New Mexico. Land of Enchantment. Land of many cultures. Land of confusing directions... and she's spread out wide - she was, after all... the last frontier. She’s mysterious, and she can also sometimes be confusing. You don’t want to have to do hours of research to plan the perfect getaway. You just want to know where to go and what to do.

Areas of Service and Expertise

As travel writers and architectural historians, we have learned much about the hidden gems in New Mexico’s rich treasury. We’ll help you to design the perfect itinerary – in the wine country, taking in art in Taos, making sacred pilgrimages to mysterious shrines, exploring archaeology…. whatever you might dream of. We can also hop in the car and go with you – to share her stories and show you the way. If you can dream it, you can do it. Let us help!

Types of Experiences and Trips Provided

A Historic Architect’s Tour of Taos

Taos has some of the finest examples of New Mexico vernacular architecture in northern New Mexico. But as Taos evolved fluidly, it is a bit of a maze. We’ll guide you through the maze – we’ll witness the evolution of design in New Mexico from the first missions, to Spanish settlement, then visiting homes of the founders of Taos Society of Artists, through the modern day, even stopping by Taos’ few remaining vestiges of Roadside (1950s and 60s Route 66) architecture. Choose a half or full day tour, which may include visits to the Church of St. Francisco de Asis in Ranchos de Taos, Convents of Our Lady of Loretto, Mabel Dodge Luhan House, the Taos Inn (great place to stop for a beverage break!), Taos Plaza Courthouse (and murals), La Loma Plaza, Ledoux Street, McCarthy House, Couse – Sharp Historic Site, Love Apple Restaurant (in what was once a private family sanctuary), and an abandoned Torreon at El Meze and the more Modern examples of Taos' Architecture at El Monte Sagrado Living Resort, the Fechin Home, the Gorge Bridge, Hennsington Gallery, the Earthship Visitor Center and even Twirl Children’s Store.

Taos Sacred Architecture Tour

There is so much sacredness in Taos that many do not know where to start to try and take it all in. Our architect guide knows the ins and outs of sacred architecture in general and Taos' sacred architecture in particular. With customized tours available that might include a visit the Church of St. Fransico de Asis in Ranchos de Taos, Couze – Sharp Historic Site, Convents of Our Lady of Loretto, Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, Domehouse on Tune Drive, Love Apple Restaurant (in what was once a private family sanctuary), Taos Pueblo, an abandoned Taos Pueblo predecessor and kiva (offsite, on public lands), and/or the Lama Foundation... we are sure you'll leave inspired and with great photos to share!

Land Art of Taos – Labyrinths, Gardens, and Yard Art

Taos has more than 30 labyrinths in her midst, and with so many artists calling Taos home, incredible yard art too. But who has a week to discover it? We already have. Allow us to guide you to the finest land art installations in all of Taos. If time allows, we can show you some of the unique gardens Taos has to offer as well. Half and Full day tours.

Behind the scenes on Canyon Road

When writing an article for the Art-Architecture-Design magazine Trend, we had the opportunity to visit more than 50 galleries and meet with more than 40 artists and gallerists. We made great friends with some of them, and they know Canyon Road inside out and backwards, which means we got to see some of the most extraordinary galleries and studios that are often missed by casual visitors. Our friendships open doors to you as well, and on this full day tour we’ll drink, taste, and take in some of the finest art, interactions, and food that Santa Fe has to offer.

 ADA Accessibility Notes

ADA is a constant issue in Taos. We do our best to help our clients to manage this very old town in the most confortable way possible.

 Pet Friendly Notes

As much as we'd love to accomodate your well-behaved pets, many of the sites we visit do not allow them.
