Telluride Historical Museum
The mission of the Telluride Historical Museum is to preserve the rich, colorful and diverse history of the region and to bring history to life through exhibits, programs and education. Located in the 1896 Hall's Hospital, the museum recounts the short yet significant history of the region from Native American hunting ground to mining boom town to recreation destination resort.
In the completely restored hospital building, ten rooms, each with their own theme, showcase different aspects of Telluride history. Hands-on, interactive and rotating displays engage all the senses, giving visitors of all ages new experiences, visit after visit.
The museum offers educational opportunities including its Fireside Chats lecture series, Hikes into History, Ski into History on-mountain historical tours and Lone Tree Cemetery Tours. Private tours may also be arranged.
Seasons Open: Late May - Early October and December - March
Hours Open: Tuesdays - Saturdays 11 - 5, extended hours til 7 on Thursdays - In summers only, Sundays 1 - 5
Fees: $5 Adults, $3 Students and Seniors, Children under 5 free
