The Cabins at Bear Creek
The Cabins at Bear Creek are nestled into a mountain vallley about halfway between Telluride and Durango, but only feet from a trout-filled stream. Surrounded on three sides by National Forest, you can hike or bike for miles from your cabin. When you get back, relax in the queen beds, read in front of the fire, or wander out to the outdoor kitchen for dinner on the deck over Bear Creek. And did we mention our other accomodation, a fully-restored sheepherder wagon on its own deck over the creek? We have a two night minimum stay, and ask that you leave your pets and cigarettes at home. Our rates are $185/night for two guests per cabin, and $100/night for the sheepherder's wagon. By the way, this rate includes a full breakfast each morning cooked to your order by a professional chef, and a complimentary bottle of wine or a couple Colorado beers at check in. Come to Bear Creek-- you'll recognize the difference.
Tired of planning a getaway, only to find that your destination feels like you've been there and done that already? Come to the Cabins at Bear Creek, where your closest neighbor just might be the trout in the stream. We have two-- only two-- custom cabins for your use, with a full bath and kitchen in each. We also have a fully-restored sheepherder's wagon on its own deck right along the creek. When you're done hiking, biking, fishing, or just relaxing, wander on over to the outdoor kitchen, and have a glass of wine or a couple of Colorado beers on us as you contemplate life through the flames of a campfire. We have free wi-fi, but you can leave your cell phones behind. Each morning enjoy a full breakfast cooked just for you by Diane, our resident professional chef. Come on-- your cabin is waiting!!

The Cabins at Bear Creek are owned and operated by a Golden Retriever named Brook, assisted by her mom Diane-- a professional chef-- and her dad Kevin, whose goal to become a "kept man" went sadly astray. We'd love to have you stay with us.
We are unfortunately not ADA accessible.
Eco friendly? Wander for twenty miles along a trout-filled stream, or hike/bike on millions of acres of National Forest. Wood fires, home-grown vegetables, and wine. Yep, we're eco friendly.
Due to previous bad experiences, we ask that you please leave your pets at home.
