This Trading Post truly serves the needs of the local Native American families as well as the occasionally tourist or rug collector. Visitors get a unique glimpse at what early Trading posts were like.

Toadlena is a small community on the Navajo reservation, over an hour away from shops and grocery stores so this Trading Post provides goods and services such as groceries, propane, banking and mail services. It caters to tourists who purchase rugs, tapestries, silver jewelry and other local handicrafts.

At this Trading Post trade is carried on much as it was 100 years ago. Locals pay their accounts monthly when wool is sheared or a rug is finished. Owner Mark Winter works closely with the weavers of Two Grey Hills continuing the support, encouragement and relationship that was established by the traders before him.
