Village of Jemez Springs

Village of Jemez Springs - Autumn
Holiday Mesa
Jemez Valley View

The Village of Jemez Springs is a great place to get away for the weekend, reconnect with nature and enjoy hot, healing mineral water. In addition to natural hotsprings, there are many places to shop, dine and spend the night. Small town hospitality, historic sites, and lots of local color make Jemez Springs a cultural destination to explore.

Jemez Springs is an easy hour's drive from either Albuquerque or Santa Fe. Only 45 minutes from Los Alamos. Drive New Mexico's highway 4 to experience the beauty of the Jemez mountains. Highway 4 was designated a National Scenic Highway in 1998. The Jemez valley is a fascinating variety of canyons, mesas, tentrocks, hotsprings, ancient village remnants, snow, spring-fed rivers and gorgeous red rock formations.

The charming Village of Jemez springs, with it ancient cottonwoods, adobe buildings and sheer canyon walls. The highway will take you past the Jemez State Monument, Soda Dam and Battleship Rock. Through pinon, oak, and juniper belts to the ponderosa Douglas fir forests, and past the Baca Land Grant, the "Valles Grande" now operated by the Valles Caldera Preserve, and Bandaleir National Monument, in Los Alamos.

Amid all of this beauty you’ll find great fishing spots along the Jemez River and Fenton Lake. Endless biking, hiking trails, camping spots and in the winter, cross-country skiing opportunities. Please visit our website for more details including upcoming events, local weather and directions. Thank you for your interest in Jemez Springs! We hope you will visit us soon.
