Window Rock

WIndow Rock Navajo Monument
Window Rock Park

This is a natural large hole in a red rock cliff, hence the name window rock, which is a tribal monument / park, located right in the heart of the Navajo Nation's central governance, allowing visitors an opportunity to visit and learn about the Navajo Nation as well. Beside visiting this natural feature, while in Window Rock tourists can visit the Navajo Nation Museum and Zoo. Within the Window Rock Park, you can also visit the Navajo Veteran's Memorial, and learn about the famous Navajo Code Talkers, who made a huge difference in our battle with the Japanese, in World War 2. While in the community of Window Rock, consider visiting the Navajo Arts & Crafts Enterprise near the intersection of Highway 264 and Navajo Rt. 12, along with the venders at the flee market - also at this intersection, with traditional food, jewelry and crafts offerings.
